ADDITIONSDo you love Wisconsin, or more specifically the Wisconsin weather? Do you love sunrises at any time of the year, but your current space doesn’t allow you to, we can help. Sunrooms give you the beauty of nature, without actually letting it into to your home
BASEMENTSThe most under utilized space in your house is the basement. An unfinished basement is rife with true potential. The most versatile space in your house is your basement. If your looking for ideas to transform that unfinished basement in to a usable space a great place to start is with Design Build Remodeler.
BATHROOM REMODELINGBathrooms are meant to be about peace and tranquility. A place you can go to relax and escape in your home. Does your bathroom provide that peace? Does your bathroom give you a place to escape? All of our projects are customized to your needs, so let us help create that dream space for you.
KITCHEN REMODELING80% of our waking moments are spent in the kitchen. It only makes sense that you have a kitchen that you enjoy to be in, and are proud to call your own. Don’t live with the outdated designs, broken cabinets and drawers, and cracked tile.

The Design Process 1. Preliminary Review Meeting  During an introductory meeting to review the goals for your project, we’ll spend time with you to understand what you’ve been thinking about. We understand that there’s probably been a lot of time and emotional investment leading to the decision of doing a project. We want to make sure that we are delivering the “WOW” for your project. The Design Process 2. Budget Estimate  We’ll then discuss with you a possible rough estimate range. If this range falls within your budget, we will then proceed to the next step of the design process. The Design Process 3. Survey We’ll visit your house to measure and photograph. We’ll also review the design goals again. The Design Process 4. Design Begins Design work starts with drawing the existing floor plan and exterior elevations as need. Often ideas are combined to create a solution that works best, and then this is refined through 2-3 revisions. We spend a couple meetings to review and also work via phone and email. The end result of this phase is a nearly finalized floor plan and exterior elevations. The Design Process 5. Design Development With the big picture decided, we’ll start working on the details. Much of the focus is on cabinetry, lighting, finishes and fixtures. There’s a lot to decide on – it’s a big shopping trip, make sure you allocated more than enough time to make fun instead of stressful. The Design Process 6. Permitting & Contract The entire set of drawings are compiled to create the permit set. Some additional paperwork may also be needed from you. Depending on the size of project and city, the process can take one day to two weeks or even longer. During this time, the contract with the builder is also usually finalized. It may feel like it’s taking too long to get the project started – so be patient. Use this time to make any last finish selections that need to be made. The Design Process 7. Construction Finally! Construction itself has its up and downs; there are weeks when things go quickly and then slow down as all the different trades go through the project and do their part. The Design Process 8. Completion Prior to the completion, we will help you with a complete punch list for the project to ensure you are happy with the final look. This will ensure no details have been missed or spared on your project.

New Home Build Case Study

We are currently in the process of building this new home on Lake Mendota and we would like to invite you along for the journey.  Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions on this project.

This project started with and existing home located on the lot that needed to be demolished before new building could begin.  The photo on the left is a before picture of the previous home.

The photo on the right is the current progress as it stands today.  We have completed the excavation, pouring the concrete foundation, and framing of the exterior and interior walls.  Up next is exteriors and window…

Take a look through the Project Gallery and see for yourself how we’ve helped our clients renew and remodel this kitchen into a space they love to live in.

  • Washa Remodeling & Design did a complete remodel of our kitchen. It turned out beautiful and it is a pleasure to work in. We have had many friends over and got comments like 'it looks like it's out of a magazine.'

  • We have hired Washa Remodeling for two projects in different homes--a screen porch in a previous house and a complete kitchen remodel in our current home. They were recommended by friends, and I would highly recommend Washa to anyone looking for a remodeler.
